Winter has finally arrived in Maryland and my casual winter looks revolve around jeans, shirts, coats and beanies. I typically pair my jeans with ankle boots, knee high boots or comfortable brogues /flats. I got this oxford for Christmas and it has been on a rotation...love it! I am currently obsessed with beanies with pom pom details; a few weeks ago, I posted a picture of me wearing this red beanie on my Instagram. It is very comfy and fun and I am considering getting the grey beanies.

Plaid On Plaid

Plaids remain one of my favorite pieces to wear during the holidays. When I was young, my mum always dressed me up in plaid dresses with ribbons and in my early teens I was obsessed with my grandma's plaid skirts and wished I could have them. Today, not surprising, I am still in love with plaids.

For today's look, I incorporated plaid on plaid in an androgynous way by pairing with a bow tie. The colors are vibrant and timeless; plaids are definitely a classic fall trend.

Fall Colors

I am very excited about the upcoming holiday season and I am ready for Christmas decorations. Over the weekend, I stopped at Target to get a couple of deer decorative items for the fire place.  I will be sharing some of my Christmas decorations, gift ideas and wish list. Dark green

Hi beautiful people! I had a busy Monday hence, unable to write about my weekend on the prior post. If you follow me on Instagram, you might have had a glimpse of what I did on Saturday i.e. a playdate with Nolan and his school buddy at the Webster farms. It was a fun filled day and the walk-around definitely gave me a week�s worth of exercise.

We ran around the farm checking out goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits and we had a fun hay ride around the farm. When we were done, Nolan was exhausted and practically fell asleep as soon as he got into the car followed by a long nap at home. That is a brief highlight from my weekend.

Today�s post is about dark green and variably called olive green, hunter green by different people; I am totally obsessed with the color. I incorporated different shades including one of my favorite military inspired jackets (previous worn here). I paired with a white shirt to create a classic look and rather than wearing black or beige pumps, I went with leopard pumps for style.

Happy New Month and Happy Independence Day to my dear country Nigeria. I still remember fun memories growing up in Nigeria and how it shaped me into the person I am today. I don�t mind celebrating with some Nigerian delicacies especially spicy suya and okra soup. :) How are you celebrating?
